Spotlight Theatre, Bridlington
This year, Spotlight Youth Theatre are rehearsing for Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical Jr. directed by Alice Kynman (Young Talent Director at Stephen Joseph Theatre). Public performances will take place at Spotlight Theatre on Friday 27th June 7:30pm, Saturday 28th June 2:30pm & 7:30pm, and Sunday 29th June 2:30pm. Stay tuned for more details and for tickets.
Spotlight Youth Theatre worked with artist, Diana Logan on the North York Moors Trust's Birds on the Edge Project. Through this project, young people visited Dalby Forest, and went on a residential trip, engaging in conservation and creative activities in nature. This culminated in a devised theatre piece by the young people inspired by their experiences in the North York Moors. This piece was performed to parents, guardians and members of the North York Moors Trust team.
Sessions cost just £2 per week, with concessions available on an individual basis through ARCADE, just get in touch if cost is a barrier. Pied Piper - A Hip-Hop Family Musical
In October 2024, Spotlight Youth had the opportunity to learn the foundations of beatbox theatre and were part of the Pied Piper show with a professional cast.
