Join Spotlight Youth Theatre to meet new people, have fun and learn new skills.
We have 2 brilliant projects for Spotlight Youth to take part in coming up this Autumn - all are welcome!
SEPTEMBER 2024 – PIED PIPER
Members of SYT will have the opportunity to take part in a project with internationally renowned artist and company, Conrad Murray and the Battersea Arts Centre Beatbox Academy (BBA).
OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2024 – BIRDS ON THE EDGE
Birds on the Edge is a programme run by the North Yorkshire Moors Trust, which looks at building habitats for birds. Spotlight Youth have been invited to create a piece of drama or music, inspired by the parks and will be able to take part in a day visit to learn about the Park, the wildlife there and to take part in some conservation related activities. 15 SYT young people will also attend residential to the park.
Sessions cost just £2 per week, with concessions available on an individual basis through ARCADE, just get in touch if cost is a barrier. Pied Piper - A Hip-Hop Family Musical
Young people from Spotlight Youth will have the opportunity to learn the foundations of beatbox theatre from Conrad himself, to be inspired by this art form and be a part of the show on stage at Brid Spa along with a professional cast. No previous experience in beatbox or performing is necessary to take part - we just need enthusiasm!
