Rach Drew

Co-Artistic Director & CEO

Rach Drew trained as a Theatre Director but has had a varied career across the cultural sector. Her experience ranges from founding her own youth theatre and working as a Festival Manager and Executive Director to collaborating with communities in museums and creating exhibitions with both locally and internationally renowned artists.

Throughout her career, Rach has raised over one million pounds for arts projects and has led teams while managing complex, city-wide events and festivals.

Her work has involved national partners and large venues, such as BBC R&D, English Heritage, York Minster, and the Science Museum Group. Her collaborations with artists include Jonny White (All in the Same Boat), Patrick Coyle (High Enterprise), David Ogle & Heinrich, and Palmer (Illuminating York), among others.

Growing up in Bridlington and currently residing in Scarborough, Rach is passionate about the belief that a creative career should not require relocation to London. She is dedicated to supporting and making space for female voices while championing northern places, stories, and accents.
