Ysabelle Wombwell

Composer, Music Producer, Access, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Consultant

Ysabelle Wombwell is a musician, music producer, and facilitator with 12 years of experience working in the arts and youth work in Hull. She is a child of Deaf parents, a British Sign Language user, and a single mother of Jamaican and British heritage.

Currently, Ysabelle serves as a Voice and Influence Worker for Hull City Council and leads a women’s studio placement project at Young Thugs Studio York. Her previous clients and employers include Deafinitely Theatre London, Scarborough Museums Trust, Freedom Festival, and The Warren Youth Project in Hull.

Ysabelle is a co-founder of the Black Heritage Collective, which acts as a representative body and consultative partner for people of Black heritage in Hull. She is also a co-founder of Make Noise, an organization dedicated to improving safety and visibility for marginalized genders in Hull’s music industry.
